Abstract:
The general problem of the mixed-layer depth of the oceans surface layers is discussed. Wind mixing and its contribution to mixed-layer depth at ocean station Papa during the year 1958 is evaluated. A model of mixing by wind- generated wave motion is tested along with two other models, and the results are discussed.
