Abstract:

The Air Force space physics program is designed to determine certain properties of the region above the earths atmosphere that have important military implications. The Blue Scout Junior Program for 1962 is intended to investigate the nature of turbulence at altitudes up to 100,000 km. The instrumentation is described which is needed to study the turbulent region and the responses expected from these instruments. The relationship between this program, the entire AFSWC high altitude program, and NASAs high altitude program is also discussed. Author
