Abstract:

Phenomena and techniques are to be evaluated in the ultraviolet, visible, and submillimeter 40 to 2000 microns regions of the electromagnetic spectrum which may be applicable to current and future requirements in the areas of detection and astrosurveillance, i.e., military activities associated with missiles, satellites and other vehicles with high altitude trajectories. In general, radar and infrared techniques and phenomena are excluded from consideration. Study concerned the general properties of backgrounds, effects of object-environment interaction, and detection and recognition techniques. Author
