Abstract:

THE DATA FRO THE FLIGHT OF CONDUCTIVITY METER Number 1 aboard RVX-2A Number 423 were reduced and interpreted. The meter output w s found to be correlated with vehicle dynamics during re-entry. The maximum o served value of sigma u B sub z L where sigma average conductivity mhosm u average velocity msec, B magnetic flux density weberssquare meter, z component in z-direction which is normal to skin f vehicle, and L characteristic length m was 490 amperesmeter.
