Employing a new experimental technique, molecular flow reaction studies, a heat of formation H sub f298K of - 142 or - 3 kcalmole is reported for the molecule BOFg. The reaction B2O31 BF3g equals BOF3g 0 was employed for this study. Earlier transpiration studies yielded values for H sub f298K of - 567.8 or - 0.5 kcalmole and S sub 298K of 89.9 or - 2 caldegreesmole for the trimer BOF3g.
