Open-ende Terms Electrohydraulic forming, Magnetic forming. Research was continued on capacitor discharge metal forming. The components and characteristics of a 155,000 joule 960 microfarad, 18,000 volt capacitor storage system designed for capacitor discharge metal forming are described. The system consists of four groups of 39,000 joules each. One group has been installed and is under test. The remaining groups are being installed. First quarter maximum current in excess of 300,000 amperes at 20 kc frequency are obtainable with each group. Author
