Abstract:

CONCLUSIONS Experiments showed the possibility of utilizing ultrasonic rate measurements for the detection of texture and the degree of its formation in metals and alloys possessing the anisotropy of elastic properties. A reduction in the Youngs modulus during plastic deformation in the case of Ni-Cr alloys is connected not only with the origination of texture, but, in all probability, is caused also by the destruction of the K-state.
