The primary concern of this search was to collect information on the theory of the atmosphere and surface of the moon also, emphasis was placed on data derived from experiments and investigations. This search and a companion one, Lunar Probes and Landings, LMSD-5-10-61-3SB-61-24 were undertaken to support studies of an eventual lunar landing.
