Abstract:

Research was concerned with the development of a two-dimensional hydrodynamics computation program on the IBM 709 computer for use in the analysis of non-nuclear warhead design problems. The program, which employs a Lagrangean, triangular mesh, was modified to be compatible with the IBM 709 and associated peripheral equipment. The early expansion of the case of a 105 mm shell was studied. The computer program was rewritten to allow different time intervals in different parts of the spatial mesh. Author
