Abstract:

IN ANALYZING HEAT-RESISTANT ALLOYS OF Ni with Mo or W it is necessary to determine the impurities in the form of low-melting metals that are present in quantities of 0.001 to 0.0001. For this purpose it is first necessary to obtain analytical concentrates of the elements to be determined. Studies were made of the conditions under which micro-impurities most completely precipitate with one of the components of the alloy or with a collector, while the basic components of the alloy remain in solution. In order to monitor the completeness of the separation of Zn and Cd impurities, radioactive isotopes Zn-65 and Cd-115, were used and spectral analysis was conducted for Pb and Bi.
