A review was made of principal propeties and production methods of borides of rare-earth metals and their alloys. It will make possible, in addtion to purely practical results, to raw a number of important theoretical conclusions on the nature of bond in this class of compounds of rare-earth mels and on its effect on chemical and physical properties of their borides.
