Abstract:

Twelve naive rhesus monkeys were trained on three new color discriminations and three new form discriminations each day for 100 days, each type of problem being presented on a distinctively colored background. They were also given four ambiguous problems in which the stimuli differed in both color and form, two on the color background and two on the form background. The monkeys developed a systematic preference for solution according to color. Author
