Abstract:

At the Department of Physical Chemistry, Moscow State U iversity, an attempt was made to determine the density of liquid ozone with reliable accuracy. Values for ozone density in available literature differ as much as 8. The method used involved the condensation of gaseous 100 ozone at -195.6 C. A check of the method with liquid oxygen indicated good results. The average value for ozone density obtained is 1.619 0.004 and is in good agreement with the most current data available. Experi ental errors in measurement did not exceed 0.002. Author
