The design, development, and evaluation of an A-frame, wooden disaster shelter are discussed. The design and development include an analysis and revision of the existing criteria and through studies of materials. The evaluation includes erection studies, weather tightness tests, and structural tests to determine the adequacy of the shelter for withstanding the specified loads. The building is structurally adequate, simple and rapid to erect, weather tight, and economical in cost and use of materials.
