A redetermination was made of the f-values of spectral lines belonging to the 2 Sigma-2 pi transition of OH the values were previously measured by Oldenberg and Rieke J. Chem. Phys. 6439, 1938. A lower limit to the f-value was obtained which is about one-half as large as that previously measured. However, the results show that the order of magnitude of the f-values is correct and establish a lower limit to the true value. This is apart from the uncertainties in the thermal data on the dissociation of H2O. Uncertainties in the photometric measurements made it difficult to estimate how far the lower limit differs from the true value. A critical analysis of the experimental data indicated that the effects due to the lack of resolving power in both intensity determinations are serious and are not fully understood.
