The effects of arbitrary and observed wind distributions on the Loki trajectory were examined through use of an influence function. The results are to be used as a basis for a field wind-measuring technique to gather and transmit wind information to the correction computer. The feasibility of a correction method based on a linear relationship between burnout deviation and wind at one level was indicated by a study of burnout deviations computed from an experimentally obtained time series of wind profiles.
