It is shown that 1 achieving and maintaining a satisfactory over-all reliability program is largely a matter of planning and organization, 2 the reliability test program should be started when the missile is in the preliminary design stages and should be continued through missile development and production, and 3 appropriate test priorities should be established within the test program. Organizational concepts and tools are suggested that may aid in solving the guided missile reliability problem economically and within a reasonable time.
