In this monograph we put forward for the first time a systematized method of deriving equations of state of real gases from elementary functions, based on the theoretical virial equation and on a single assumption on the form of the virial coefficients. With this equation of state it is possible to determine with a high degree of accuracy the thermal and the thermodynamic values. This has been confirmed by a study of numerous substances, including those discussed in this monograph. We shall also confirm the rational equations on the viscosity and thermal conductivity of real gases, which can be used to calculate these properties over a wide range of parameters with sufficient accuracy.
