Abstract : Pursuant to the Council on Environmental Quality regulations for implementing the procedural provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA; 40 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] 1500-1508), Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 6050.1, and Air Force Regulation 32 CFR Part 989, 'the 78th Civil Engineer Group, Optimization Branch, has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to identify and evaluate potential effects of selectively cutting trees that penetrate into the imaginary approach departure clearance surface within the Clear Zone (CZ) and Accident Potential Zones (APZs) for the runway at Robins Air Force Base (AFB). This EA is incorporated by reference into this FONSI/FONPA.
