Abstract : This report provides the technical basis for development and use of radiation doses for use in expedited processing of Radiation Dose Assessments (RDAs) for Hiroshima and Nagasaki (H&N) veterans in the Nuclear Test Personnel Review (NTPR) Program. The report describes the general nature of RDAs currently conducted for H&N veterans, and the approach used to define three expedited processing groups (EPGs) to include virtually all H&N veterans, including occupation forces and prisoners of war in or near Hiroshima or Nagasaki, Japan in 1945-1946. The report discusses the technical methods and assumptions used for estimating maximized dose and upper-bound external, internal, skin, and eye lens doses for each EPG. The results of the dose assessment for each EPG are presented and discussed.
