Abstract : This study identified risk factors for lifetime marijuana use among 435 sixth- through twelfth-grade participants in a youth development program. Multivariate regression analysis results revealed that modifiable risk factors, including smoking cigarettes and friends' substance use, were strongly associated with increased risk for lifetime marijuana use.
