Abstract : This Environmental Assessment (EA) identifies, describes, and evaluates potential environmental impacts associated with the implementation of the Ecosystem Restoration Conceptual Masterplan at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) (U.S. Air Force [USAF] 2007) including proposed mangrove wetland restoration activities. The Proposed Action involves a multi-phase, multi-year wetland and upland restoration program described in the Ecosystem Restoration Conceptual Masterplan that would restore the natural hydrology and enhance and create wildlife habitat at the Base. This EA summarizes the Proposed Action, alternatives considered but eliminated from further consideration, and the No Action Alternative.
