Abstract : The Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army must be able to develop and transition new technological capabilities to meet both current urgent and future operational needs of the warfighter. The technology must enable the military to successfully defeat an enemy engaged in a hybrid warfare that entails components of both irregular and conventional conflicts. As a result of hybrid warfare, the science and technology (S&T) program must not only provide long-term capabilities for conventional warfare but also be adaptive and able to rapidly provide capabilities for asymmetric warfare.
