Abstract : In order to demonstrate the feasibility of quantum games, we proposed to implement a proof-of-principle quantum public goods game, and to experimentally demonstrate that the quantum performance of the game exceeds the ideal performance of its classical analogue. We have successfully implemented such a game, and its experimental performance clearly exceeds the ideal performance of the classical public goods game. In fact, the ratio of the quantum to classical performance increases linearly with the number of players. Measured player expectation for the quantum game was measured to be within statistical error of theoretical predictions.
