Abstract : The Information Industry is a viable, dynamic industry characterized by mergers and acquisitions. It faces many challenges, perhaps the most critical being the recent loss of venture capital. Despite the latest economic fluctuations, we project that demand will continue to expand. Whether this growth will match the 1990's levels will depend on consumer confidence and industry's innovation. The industry will continue to provide innovative products that will enable future growth in other sectors. While such high demand places a strain on the government's ability to influence the market, the Information Industry remains responsive to national security requirements.
