Abstract : This document describes a new CCD camera controller adapted to Schmidt telescopes. If several large CCD detectors can be adapted in the focal plane of a large Schmidt telescope, deeper digital images can be obtained, the operating cost of a CCD camera is several orders of magnitudes smaller than that of glass photographic plates. This also opens new ways of using Schmidt telescopes; i.e., real time detection of celestial sources.
