Abstract : A mathematical modeling technique is described for estimating true temperature profiles of data obtained from long time constant thermocouples, which were used in fuel fire tests designed to determine the sensitivity of explosive ordnance. Although acquired temperature data indicated a test failure, the modeling and ensuing analysis showed that the test was valid. The devised model is then further investigated to provide a higher degree of confidence in the original methodology and conclusions.
