Abstract:
The Defense Science Board Task Force on Concurrency and Risk of the F-22 Program was convened to respond to concerns raised in a Senate Armed Services Report SASC Report 163-282, dated 14 June 1994. The Committee requested that the Department of Defense address their concerns related to F-22 Program schedule concurrency. The terms of reference TOR for the Task Force from USDAT contain three questions. The questions are 1 Are there are any areas in the F-22 program of excessive concurrency What is the risk in each area 2 For any areas of identifiable high risk, are viable plansoptions available that would mitigate the risk 3 What conclusions regarding F-22 concurrency and risk can be drawn by comparisons to existing data e.g., an ongoing IDA study on previous fightercombat aircraft
