Abstract : Biological systems use multiple object attributes to construct a 3D perception from an initial 2D representation. This report explores computational vision models that are based on neurobiology. Each of the fundamental levels of analysis needed for high level pattern recognition are addressed to provide new insights into the different processing modules. Papers detail methods for reconstructing 3D images from partial information, for correcting image defects, or for effectively extracting/analyzing/interpreting images of neurobiological and biomedical interest.
