Abstract : This report presents the results of control systems analysis and their potential applications to control systems synthesis for high performance aircraft, and provides a proven, tractable and portable methodology to quantify the robust stability and performance of highly integrated digital fly-by-wire control systems. The H infinity-based mu-analysis approach has been recommended for quantitative evaluation of robust stability and performance of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control systems. This approach for MIMO control systems evaluation is more effective than the algorithms based on gain margin and phase margin.
