Abstract:

The Defense Science Board Task Force on Aircraft Assessment was convened to respond to the direction received from Congress in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1993, Public Law 102-484. The Authorization Act requested the Defense Science Board address two issues that are related to the DoD Tactical Aviation Modernization Program. The two issues pertain to 1 potential common aircraftavionics for use by the Navy and Air Force for parallel missions, and 2 technical risk assessments for the F-22, FA-18EF and AF-X aircraft
