Abstract : The Supplement to the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Space Shuttle Program at Vandenberg AFB updates environmental information arising from additional environmental analyses and proposed program changes subsequent to January 1978. A major reason for issuing the Supplement is to respond to issues raised during the review of the Draft EIS. In addition, the Supplement addresses environmental concerns induced by new government regulations, such as the Clean Air Act Amendments, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. This Supplement also reviews new project changes. Shuttle Program impacts have been reevaluated in light of recent changes in the program, research studies in problem areas, and newly acquired knowledge of the affected environment. The physical, chemical, biological, and archaeological impacts that result from changes in the Shuttle Program include effects on air quality, floodplains, wetlands, noise, biology, archaeology, historical resources, and weather
