Abstract : The Software Supportability Qualitative Assessment Methodology is a five volume reference set that provides measures to aid in the support of information systems. The volumes are aimed at improving the support process by more accurately assessing the capabilities of support organizations, qualitatively measuring the supportability of fielded systems and evaluating the operational readiness of fielded systems. The five volumes are: (I) Developing Quality Measures for Information Systems Support; (II) The Review of Metrics for Developing an Information Systems Support Measurement Framework; (III) Implementing the Software Supportability Measure; (IV) Implementing the Support Organization Assessment Measure; (V) Implementing the Operational Readiness Measure. This volume describes the three measures along with the model of information systems support that the measures are designed to satisfy. It is the main volume and should be consulted before implementing the other volumes. Topics discussed in volume I are described in more detail in the other volumes.
