Abstract : The dynamics of an underwater explosion bubble, including its collapse and interaction with a free or hard surface, are analyzed using incompressible flow theory and a boundary integral formulation. The formulation of the solution method and the crux of the numerical treatment are presented in detail. A computer program for axisymmetrical problems has been successfully developed. Numerical results, including bubble periods, maximum radii, and velocities of the reentrant jet tip, are compared to available experimental data and to computational results obtained using the PISCES finite difference code... .
