Abstract : The goal of the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability in Computer-Aided Design (RAMCAD) research effort is to define a design environment that fully supports reliability, maintainability, and supportability (RM&S) issues through the use of computer-aided design/computer-aided engineering (CAD/ CAE) workstations. The goal of the RAMCAD advanced research effort was to define a computer-aided methodology to help design engineers optimize designs relative to RM&S issues. This report is the final report for the contractual effort and describes the approach taken during the contract, the results of the contract, and where this research could continue in the future.
