Abstract : We present an elementary tutorial on the glint problem in radar tracking. Our approach uses a very simple model yet, because of several original observations, it allows us to make some very general observations about glint. In addition, we briefly survey the collected standard mitigating approaches and comment on their relative merits and shortcomings.... Diversity methods, Glint, Scintillation, Tracking error.
