Abstract : This paper describes work in progress to develop procedures for measuring jitter associated with fiber optic modules. These procedures support associated specifications by identifying the method by which conformance with technical requirements should be determined. Technical requirements are based on SAFENET/II/FDDI system requirements. FDDI requirements and suggested test procedures are discussed and evaluated.
