Abstract : This study concentrates on the doctrinal and operational elements of the Air Force's use of ECM to support offensive combat operations. It does not directly address such factors as intelligence gathering or technology development except as they pertain to the primary topic. As a result, the study focuses closely on the activities of the Air Force's two primary combat commands, the Strategic Air Command (SAC) and Tactical Air Command (TAC).
