Abstract : This paper describes the first preparation and X-ray crystal structure determination of a zirconacyclopropene-alkyne (bis-alkyne) complex. Species of this type have been proposed as intermediates in the zirconocene- mediated reductive coupling of two alkynes to form a zirconacyclopentadiene.
