Abstract : The traditional composition of Naval aircraft carriers is made up almost entirely of Navy assets. The USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), however, will deploy with a dramatic increase in the number of Marine Corps tactical aircraft, personnel and helicopters assigned. This paper addresses the capabilities and limitations of this new Marine composition, and contrasts those capabilities with the composition of USS Roosevelt prior to the increased integration. Capabilities, Limitations, SPMAGTF, Mission comparisons.
