Abstract : This thesis describes the database needed to assess improvement in the performance of a modification to the long electroless nickel (LEN) fuel tube of the TF-34-400 engine during the time the modified component is being introduced into the fleet. It also provides the methods and equations for estimating the reliability of a modified component during its implementation. The component failure times are assumed to have a Weibull distribution. When implemented, this methodology will provide engine program management teams more timely information which should enhance their decision-making process significantly....
