Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to conduct a statistical analysis of the behavior of Depot Level Repairables (DLRs) by individual Cognizance Symbol (COG) in the Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) Program. It begins with a background of the ATAC program and the steps of current operating procedures of ATAC. The ATAC system is then analyzed by individual COG at each step to show a characteristic day-to-day behavior of a COG in the system. The database maintained by the Navy Material Transportation Office (NAVMTO) spanning one year, from 31 August 1990 to 31 August 1991, was used to obtain the necessary details. Finally, problems identified in the NAVMTO database and problems discovered in the DLR turn-in process are discussed.
