Abstract : This project has focused on two classes problems in active control of fluid flows. In the first class of problem, active control is used to enhance and stabilize mixing of two fluids. This portion of the research was based on experiment at the University of Arizona. The experiment is funded under a separate grant from AFOSR. The second research problem is to use active control to regulate the wake produced by flow past a cylinder and to regulate the lift and drag on the cylinder.
