Abstract : Development, fabrication, and delivery to NRL of 48km of optical fiber are summarized in this final report. The fiber was designed to have a cladding diameter of 80 micrometer and to be single mode at 1300 micrometers. Development of thin single layer coatings for the fiber is reported.
