Abstract : This study compared the newly developed Microclimate Cooling Air Vest (MCAV) to the Combat Vehicle Crewman (CVC) Air Vest on a heated manikin using a sweating skin. At flow rates of 12 and 15 cubic feet per minute, both vests were found to remove an equivalent amount of heat. In addition, the effect of each vest's resistance to air flow (pressure drop) is noted....
