Abstract : A new formulation is presented for the calculation of cepstral coefficients directly from measured sine wave amplitudes and frequencies of speech waveforms. Approximations to these cepstral coefficients are shown to be suitable for operation in a real-time speech coding environment. These results were encoded in the C programming language and then evaluated through experiments that were conducted on the McAulay-Quatieri Sinusoidal Transform Coder (STC)....
