Abstract : This IDA Document provides a realistic, acquisition-based assessment of the feasibility of producing and fielding an Air Command and Control System (ACCS) Sensor Fusion Post (SFP) by 1998. Existing systems were surveyed, their technical compliance with ACCS functional requirements was estimated, and the state of development documented. No appropriate system was identified. The study concluded that no complete sensor fusion capability could be fielded by 1998 and alternatives were suggested.
