Abstract : This interim report covers the evaluation of vendors and manufacturers of thermoplastic powder coating (TPC) equipment, materials, and technology. Assess the magnitude of the corrosion problems at several Air Force Bases in severely corrosive environment. Determine what potential equipment would benefit from the TPC system to replace the current solvent-borne coating systems used on munitions, munitions handling equipment, mobile communications and electronic support equipment and aerospace ground equipment (AGE). Evaluate the TPC flame sprayed application equipment and ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) and ethylene methacrylic acid (EMAA) copolymers thermoplastic powder.
