Abstract : The objective of the course notes is to present the state-of-the-art, as well as recent developments in unstructured grid methods, suitable for the computation of high Reynolds number and incompressible flows, and other related subjects. Topics and methods covered include: (1) Least Squares Galerkin and Streamline Diffusion Finite Element Methods; (2) Finite Volume Methods and Higher Order Polynomial Reconstruction; (3) Essentially Non Oscillatory Schemes for Unstructured Grids; (4) Multidimensional Upwind Schemes on Triangles and Tetrahedra; (5) Grid Generation Methods for Unstructured Grids Using the Frontal Method and Delaunay Principle; (6) Turbulence Modelling on Unstructured Grids; (7) Error Estimators and Solution Adaptivity; (8) Parallel Computing on Unstructured Grid; and (9) Post Processing Unstructured Grid Data Bases for Flow Visualization Analysis.
