Abstract : Data have been collected in the UH-60 helicopter in various flight configurations (hover, contour (250 ft) and cruise (650 ft)) to relate the thermal conditions found in the cockpit to data available to commanders and researchers in the field. These have been used to develop equations for use in future thermal modelling studies, and to provide information to increase the fidelity of helicopter environmental simulations.
